What are cookies.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the site to remember information about your session — such as whether you are signed in — across page loads and visits. Cookies are not programs and cannot run code or carry viruses.

How we use cookies.

ChangaSente uses a minimal set of first-party cookies strictly necessary for the platform to function correctly. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or analytics platforms that set their own cookies. We do not embed third-party JavaScript from Google, Meta, or similar services on any page.

Cookies we set.

Session cookie

Name: sb-auth-token · Duration: Session

Keeps you signed in while you navigate between pages. Cleared automatically when you close your browser or sign out.

CSRF protection cookie

Name: csrf-token · Duration: Session

Protects form submissions from cross-site request forgery attacks. Required for security and cannot be disabled.

Preference cookie

Name: changasente-prefs · Duration: 1 year

Stores lightweight UI preferences such as your selected theme. Contains no personally identifiable information.

What we do not use.

We deliberately avoid the following categories of cookies and trackers:

Analytics cookies — we do not run Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar services that profile your behaviour across the web.
Advertising cookies — we do not run paid advertising and have no advertising pixels or retargeting tags on any page.
Social media trackers — sharing a campaign link does not cause the recipient to be tracked by any social platform.
Third-party scripts — we do not load external JavaScript from advertising or data-broker networks.

Managing cookies.

Because all cookies we set are strictly necessary for the platform to function, there is no meaningful way to opt out of them while continuing to use ChangaSente. You can:

Clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. This will sign you out of your account.
Block all cookies in your browser, though this will prevent you from signing in or submitting forms.
Browse public campaign pages without signing in — in this case, only the session and CSRF cookies are set, and no account data is linked to them.

Local storage.

In addition to cookies, ChangaSente may store small amounts of data in your browser's local storage — for example, to cache campaign data temporarily so pages load faster on repeat visits. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers independently. You can clear local storage through your browser's developer tools or privacy settings.

Changes to this policy.

If we introduce new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we will update this page and notify registered users by email before the change takes effect. We will never introduce advertising or tracking cookies without giving you clear notice and, where required by law, a genuine opt-in choice.
