Every payment processed on Changasente runs through PawaPay: a regulated payment infrastructure provider licensed to operate across 12 countries in East, West, and Central Africa, including Uganda and Kenya. PawaPay holds the local money-services licences issued by Bank of Uganda and the Central Bank of Kenya. Changasente operates as a platform on top of that licensed infrastructure, the same model used by GoFundMe, Stripe, and every major crowdfunding platform globally.
The Changasente mark appears on every campaign and disbursement. Three circles. One wallet. No hidden hand.
Transparency
- Every disbursement is logged publicly on the campaign page with timestamp, amount, and purpose
- Surplus funds must be redirected to a declared purpose, logged in the public Updates tab
- Campaign coordinators cannot delete disbursement history
Refunds
- Donors can request a refund within 48 hours of payment if the campaign is flagged
- If Changasente removes a campaign for policy violations, all collected funds are returned to donors automatically
